Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of VNR VJIET was established in May, 2013 with a moto of catalysing the quality initiatives and enhancement of these initiatives. The sustenance and assurance of internal systems and processes are taken care through integrated regular quality measurement tools and techniques. The structure of the IQAC at VNRVJIET is designed as an integrated agile model with coordinators for Quality initiatives and enhancement, Quality sustenance, Quality measurement and Quality assurance. The Principal of VNRVJIET, Dr. C.D. Naidu is the Chairperson and Dr. Y .Bhanusree, faculty from Department of DS, CyS & AIDS is the coordinator of the IQAC. The IQAC Committee includes all stakeholders of the Institute, i.e. students, alumni, all Department and required Section Heads, members of the Management and Administration, and members of local community and industry experts.

    To ensure quality culture as the prime concern for the Institution through institutionalizing and internalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support.

Mission

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic, administrative, research, innovation, and outreach performance of the institution.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality sustenance and enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
  • To maintain a system for quality assurance through analysis of various metrics.

Strategies

In order to ensure quality sustenance and enhancement, IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for:

  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  • The relevance and quality of academic and research programs.
  • Equitable access to and affordability of academic programs for various sections of the society.
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
  • The credibility of evaluation procedures.
  • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure and services.
  • Research sharing and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.

Functions

The primary functions of the IQAC include (but are not limited to):

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Organization of workshops, seminars on quality-related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  • Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
